“Future of The Valley”

You may or may not be aware that our well-loved community center, pool and surrounding open spaces are all in dire need of repairs and critical fire-safety updates. Currently, our only funding is from a small annual County allotment and HVCA rental and pool memberships. This revenue barely meets the costs of operation, an d i sn’t enough to provide critical repairs, support ongoing maintenance or important fire safety and trail maintenance work that should be done. 

We have a proposal to address these concerns and have assembled a volunteer committee to evaluate the needs of our community facilities and the preservation/fire safety of the Land Trust. 

The economy may be tough, but it’s also a time when individuals turn to their communities and more regularly participate in local activities such as our July 4t h Picnic, the Music Festival and our Homestead Valley trails.  Below are attachments showing recent inspection reports and an executive summary of a proposal to address these community needs.
